Did you know that the flavor of bubblegum that we know today was created by an accountant? Inspired by the gum that holds its flavor for exactly 12 seconds (not a second more). For a fun game, see how many pieces of bubblegum you chew while knitting with this fun and bright yarn. We think a hat should take about 300 pieces of gum if you want to maximize flavor.
This 100% alpaca yarn was created using our heathering process. We dye between 10-30% pure white alpaca to a shade of our desired color, then combine it randomly at the carder. Once spun, the yarn has flecks of varying color throughout giving a truly unique (and very forgiving) pattern.
Natural Yarn
We believe in processing our yarn without harsh processes like superwashing or acid bathing. While we take multiple steps to remove vegetative matter from the fiber, some may remain in the finished yarn that is usually removable after knitting. After all, animals live outside!
